Project Estimating and Cost Controls
ASD offers professional project Control Services including construction cost estimating, and cost control, project reporting and review, document control and claims management. Project control specialists provide support on a project-by-project basis-assigned either full-time or "on-call" as the specific project warrants. Our claims management specialists provide services to our clients for claims analysis and negotiations support, and provide expert witness testimony during arbitration and litigation. ASD's project control specialists are well versed in all state-of-the-art, commercially available project management and cost estimation software. Our in-house-developed ASDDOCS is a document control system designed to manage an unlimited number of documents for project specific use and can be used for area and regional office applications as well. Other systems include the Submittal Tracking System (STS) for managing drawing and other project submittals, a Pay Item Quantity Tracking System (QTS) that is used on construction management projects for tracking contractor progress by recording actual in-place quantities for work installed, and a Conceptual Estimating System (CES) that is designed for performing unit cost estimates during the early stages of engineering and design for systems planning and alternative analysis studies.
ASD also utilizes Timberline Computerized Estimating systems. This system allows ASD to perform detailed cost analysis on all components of the project.
